Aalborg-based Bycdesign Studio was started in 2016 by Carsten Nielsen, who works with graphic design, photography and interior styling. Carsten lives in a 96 square meter apartment from the 50’s in the center of Aalborg, which also functions as a studio and office. Inspired by architecture, geometry and Nordic colors, he has decorated a functional home studio with lots of light and unique objects. The fascination for the midcentury style is clearly visible, and is integrated into his home using old, Danish furniture classics, lamps, art and tight lines.

Bycdesign Studio recently launched two poster collections; Simple Object / Object Collection and Simple Structure in collaboration with Studio Ønseth. The Simple Object series focuses on objects created by simple organic shapes, with a dimmed color palette and. The collaboration with Studio Ønseth resulted in a series of prints based on the joy of geometric lines and mathematical precision. The posters come in a numbered and signed edition of 200, and can be purchased at bycdesign.dk and in Studio Ønseth in Rathkesgate 6.
